Comte Lafon, Meursault Clos de la Barre 2014

By Steen Öhman May 12, 2017

The 2014 Meursault Clos de la Barre is a truly impressive effort from Lafon, and most likely the best young vilage Meursault I have tasted from this esatte. The bouquet is crammed with white and yellow fruits – packed with a quite intense citrus infused minerality. On the palate it’s intense , long and focused – plenty of weight and detail – structured by a fine acidity and minerality. Love the focus in this wine … bottled with a Diam 30 closure – should ensure a good but rather slow development on bottle.
