Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, La Tache 1978

By Steen Öhman April 2, 1994Leave a Comment

La Tache 1978 is a very sexy and sweet quite old style Burgundy. On the nose it’s dominated by orange and orange peel, with a sweet, mature and wonderful pinot fruit. It’s a rich wine, with a very fine complexty – it’s intense rather than fresh in the fruit. Is fully mature, and will problably not benefit for additional cellaring (note from 1994), but will keep. An Outstanding wine, but far from the level of the 1990 La Tache!

(Drink now) 95p – tasted in 1994
