The Clos St. Marc 2014 from Patrice Rion is lovely wine … and quite a contrast to the more stony and expressive Les Argillieres from the same producer. The Clos St. Marc s offering a more filigree and delicate side of Premeaux, In the nose rich red and dark cherries – quite airy with a intense but refined minerality lurking in the background. On the palate quite generous fruit, focused and with a lovely energy. Love the core of red and dark fruits on the mid-palate … a delightful wine. My first – but certainly not last wine from this small monopole.

Now we’re looking at the winter/spring pruning. March 2024 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Procès NSG Les Procès is a 1er cru located ...
