Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru 2007

The Chambolle 1er cru 2007 from Pacalet is ready to rumble. In the nose extrovert sweet red fruit organic style .. strawberries, cinnamon and all spice. On the palate sweet lush fruit with pure red berry notes with a spicy citrus hint from the acidity. Classic chambolle notes … but quite organic stylewise …. very charming with it’s low SO2 fruit. Perhaps lacking a bit of focus compared to the latest vintages of this wine. Nevertheless quite adorable … if you like the style. Will keep some years but I really enjoy it now.
