Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 2007

by Steen Öhman on December. 24. 2012

in Bottle, Chambolle Musigny, Good (85 - 87), Philippe Pacalet

The Chambolle Musigny 2007 from Pacalet is very open and ready to rock. The nose is bursting with red organic fruit and sous-bois – notes of sweet strawberries and forrest berries with a light hint of red current and violets. On the palate a very extrovert fruit expression of sweet red strawberries. Has good balance but is somewhat short, and lacking a bit of depth and true weight on the midpalate like quite a lot 2007 wines. Bottom line – is lacking some oomph and focus – but nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed this bottle – cheers!
