Domaine Forey, Vosne Romanee 2010

By Steen Öhman December 9, 2012 -

The Vosne-Romanee village from Regis Forey is a beautiful effort - and one of my favorite wines in the 2010 lineup. The bouquet is quite open with red fruit, liquorice and classical Vosne spices - violets with hints of peony rose. On the palate lovely red fruit supported by a fine minerality and …

Domaine Forey, Nuits-Saint-Georges 2010

By Steen Öhman December 8, 2012 -

The Nuits-Saint-Georges village from Regis Forey is a lovely effort - but not quite in the same league as the Vosne and Morey villages. The bouquet is slightly more closed and tight - offering red fruit with aromas of cherries and raspberries. On the palate quite tight red fruit - pure and well …

Domaine Forey, Morey-Saint-Denis 2010

By Steen Öhman December 7, 2012 -

The Morey-Saint-Denis village from Regis Forey is a very pretty and somewhat understated effort. The bouquet is quite open offering cool red fruit ... coulis styled aromas of strawberries and raspberries. On the palate lovely airy red fruit - supple and pure - with a fine balance and length for this …

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne Aux Reignots 2004

By Steen Öhman December 6, 2012 -

The 2004 vintage can be quite difficult, but Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair really made some lovely wines in this vintage. The Vosne Romanee Aux Reignots 2004 is still slightly backward from magnum, but is showing fine matured notes. In the bouquet red and blue berry fruits with notes of rose petals, …

Hubert Lignier, Clos de la Roche 2003

By Steen Öhman December 5, 2012 -

The Clos de la Roche 2003 from Hubert Lignier is a quite drinkable 2003. Made from 35 to 45 year old vines located in Monts Luisants. In the bouquet cherries, blue berries, strawberries and prune with a hint of sous bois. On te palate quite finely balanced with a good focus. The tannins are silky …
