I know Burgundy can be expensive, but this Danish wine merchant seem to take the “price” for the most overpriced Burgundy offer currently .. especially considering the wine normally is seen as relatively unattractive by market.
The wine is the Romanée Saint-Vivant from Maison Louis Latour – normally priced well below most of the other Vosne-Romanée Grand crus.
Not in this case though – at Laudrup Vin in Denmark!
The price for the Louis Latour Romanée Saint-Vivant 2016 is apparently set at 5600 Danish Kroner per bottle (including 25% Danish VAT) – equivalent to around 750 EUR.
Discounts given in the unlikely event that clients want more than one bottle of this beverage at this special price.
The market price for this wine is normally around 400 EUR or even below – check Wine-Searcher or Denis Perret in Beaune for a quoute …
Presumably better to look elsewhere for Burgundies …
