Winehog Harvest News 2017 #12

Today – September 16th – Domaine Grivot picked the Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts after harvesting the always magnificent Echezeaux yesterday.

Domaine Cathiard have also havested this week – Aux Thorey Thursday, and Malconsort + RSV on Wednesday. Etienne Julien also picked this week – NSG Bouselotts and Echezeaux on Thusday – the two lovely top cuvées of the estate.

So indeed many are almost done with the 2017 harvest.

For the record Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé began the harvest on September 2nd and finished on September 8th a bit earlier than the estates currently harvesting.

Yields in 2017

Regarding the yields – reports are that the harvest brought good quantities – yields are as they say back to normal, after being around 25% lower over the last 6 vintages – so the first big vintage crop wise since 2009.
