The harvest teams are busy these days – focussing on some of the great white terrois.
This morning – August 30 – Domaine Leflaive began to harvest their quite extensive plots in Chevaluer-Montrachet.
Armand Heitz of Domaine Heitz-Lochardet harvested the Chevalier-Montrachet Monday – August 28 – and is now harvesting the Meursault Perriére.

What about the quality
The quality looks very fine seen from the photos – and judged from the initial and informal comments from the different vignerons and estates.
Pierre Vincent of Domaine Leflaive reported a very fine balance between sugar and acidity when harvesting Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatiéres yesterday .. sounds good to me at least
Only negative mentions I have seen is lag of rain in some plots and vineyards – with some damage to the grapes reported.
