The weather is a bit more mixed in Burgundy today – yet still possible to harvest more whites.
This morning – August 31 – Domaine Hubert Lamy is harvesting Saint-Aubin Chateniere and Remilley – the latter one of my favourites in the lovely Olivier Lamy lineup.

Maison Chantereves continued and finished the harvest of les Auxey Duresses les Hautés. Hopefully more wine in the cellar at Chatereves this year.

Yesterday Thibault Morey of Domaine Morey-Coffinet began his harvest with Chassagne-Montrachet Dent de Chien – in my view one of the most interesting of the best Chassagne 1er crus – yet relatively unknown. Good luck also to Thibault

Werner Van Damme says
Just returned from Burgundy. Growers told me there are indeed quite some clusters, grapes have thick skins, but little juice. Vines are also suffering from drought and are in urgent need of rain, which started luckily on Wednesday late afternoon. Most said to start picking on 5th till 7th, though one would start today an another one not before the 11th. All depends on plots, clones, grower’s preference, whether the leaves were removed or not and so on.
