There are plenty of action in the vineyards, in Côte de Beaune some have almost finished the harvest, whereas others are still bringing in the whites.
Yesterday – September 4th – Domaine Leflaive brought in the Montrachet, the Batard and Les Pucelles – and was joined by Dominique Lafon and his team who also brought in the Montrachet.
Great to see a lot of fruit on Montrachet after the frost last year.
With the whites near the end of the harvest one see a lot of action picking the reds of Côte de Beaune
One of the rising stars of Pommard – Thibaud Clerget of Domaine Y Clerget was harvesting this excellent Pommard Rugiens yesterday.
The photo below show Thibaud Clerget in June when I tasted his excellent 2016s – tasting notes will be published very soon.
The reds in Côte de Nuits
In Côte de Nuits some have started, but many will begin tomorrow and continue harvesting the reds over the next week or so.
The grapes are almost ready … looks like Domaine Liger-Belair will start tomorrow or Thursday (September 7th).
