Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Procès
NSG Les Procès is a 1er cru located above the village of Nuits, just below the beautiful Chateau Gris.
The Arnoux-Lachaux plot is 0.6337 hectare, and the vines are on average 65 years old.
I visit the vineyard almost weekly, as it is a beautiful walk from my place in Nuits-Saint-Georges. This gives me the chance to follow its progress.
Recovery after the frost
The frost hit three weeks ago, and the damage was very serious in some areas – especially in the Cote de Beaune’s chardonnay plots and vineyards.
It’s still too early to say anything precise about the damage in the Côte de Nuits. Walking and biking through the vineyards, however, shows large differences in vegetal development. Whether these are due to location, clone, or viticulture, we will eventually see.
Here are a few photos from the Arnoux-Lachaux plot in NSG Les Procès. At this point, there is only a little green… but in general Nuits-Saint-Georges is not that badly hit.
