Great news for the fan of good food and wine: Domaine Prieuré-Roch is opening a new restaurant located at the top of the estate in Premeaux-Prissy overlooking the magnificent Les Argillieres vineyard.
The name of the new place is Premnord, and the restaurant is located in a sweet spot in some of the very best vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Geoeges.
It is a tribute to the late Henry-Frédéric Roch, the founder of Domaine Prieuré-Roch and a legendary character and inventor in the wine business – and renowned gourmand.

Culinary delights in Premeaux
As an inhabitant of Nuits-Saint-Georges, I am really looking forward to a new restaurant in the area, as we locals – as well as tourists – need some renewal of the gastronomic scene.
The restaurant, led by chef de cuisine Céline Dedinger, will create menus made from fresh, seasonal products from local and regional suppliers. The chef will offer gourmet choices affectionately described as “grandmother’s” cuisine.
Guests will choose from a €26 lunch menu with a choice of starter/main course or main course/dessert, or all three courses for €30. This menu will change weekly, and the restaurant will offer a la carte choices among four starters, four main courses, and three desserts.
It sounds like an interesting proposition, with room to explore the wine cellar and perhaps even treat yourself to one of the delightful wines from Domaine Prieure-Roch.
On the bar side, in a more “lounge” atmosphere, charcuterie boards and other tapas will be offered all year round to accompany aperitifs. A 55-seat terrace, facing the beautiful vineyard, will prolong the pleasure in warm weather.
Looks like this could become a fixed destination on my weekly travels in the Côte de Nuits.
The wine
Premnord will focus on presenting an eclectic, artisanal, and authentic wine list. The wine list contains more than 500 references, from France and around the world, priced from €25, with a large part no more than €80. This is a refreshing take in a world of increasing prices.
Gaël Saunie, head sommelier, is responsible for assisting guests in their choices.
Burgundian by birth, he’s passionate about wine and gastronomy. Gaël enjoys sharing his knowledge with customers, ensuring the perfect pairing of food and wine.
Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a range of wine by the glass – from €7 – to accompany the meal. The bar team will offer a selection of local beers, juices, and spirits.
Premnord will open July 3, and will be open Monday-Friday for lunch and dinner. Weekends, it will be closed, to ensure the staff a fine balance between work life and family.
