The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Les Barreaux is the first wine from Arnaud et Sofie – Arnaud Sirugue and his wife Sofie Noëllat. This is a truly delightful effort and rising qualiy wise somewhat above the fine 2017. It’s offering a lovely depth and a very fine mineral note – delightful fruit intensity. This is a georgeous Vosne village .. with a fine terroir hint of the neighbouring Cros Paratoux. Will need some years to unfold .. this is a lovely start for this new producer.
