Chateau Suduiraut 1990

By Steen Öhman January 17, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The 1990 Suduiraut is a very nice mature Sauternes. The bouquet has a good balance of dried fruit and caramel notes. On the palate very good sweetness and concentration, a good length and balance. The flavors are rich with dried fruits and caramel. It has a wonderful creamy texture, thus making it a …

Chateau Suduiraut 1989

By Steen Öhman January 16, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The 1989 Suduiraut is very developed. In the bouquet burnt caramel, alcohol and botrytis. On the palate very heavy caramel and botrytis notes. Still the wine lacks concentration and focus, and has a hollow watery finish. Is now in decline on half bottle, and should have been consumed 5 to 10 years …

By Steen Öhman January 14, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The 2008 white burgundies are very extrovert and charming, but it seems they are closing slightly down now. The 2008 Meursault from Coche Dury is a really flamboyant and bold wine. On the nose a fine minerality, fresh vibrant acidity, hay, and a slight note of popcorn and gun powder. On the palate …

By Steen Öhman January 13, 2012 - Leave a Comment
