Domaine Leflaive, Les Pucelles 2000

By Steen Öhman September 23, 2011 - Leave a Comment

Les Pucelles 2000 from Domaine Leflaive is a very charming wine. Two bottles were served, on from a very cold cellar, and one from a slightly warmer cellar. Both were quite open and mature, with a wonderful charming personality. It's quite a soft vintage, but still this wine has a good minerality …

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 2009

By Steen Öhman September 22, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Chambolle village has a wonderful bouquet of red fruits organic style! On the palate quite dense, with very nice ripe red coulis fruits. Medium body, quite good length, but could do with a little more acidity. Like many other 2009 wines it's lacking some freshness, and a more vibrant minerality. …

Comte Lafon, Meursault Charmes 1999

By Steen Öhman September 21, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The 1999 Meursault Charmes from Lafon was premoxed - like quite a lot of the wines from this domaine. I have had at least 5 premoxed wines from Lafon this year from the vintages 1999 and 2001. Sadly it seems one need a chilled bottle as backup while serving Lafon these days. Tasted 09/09/2011 …

Hubert Lignier, Clos de la Roche 2002

By Steen Öhman September 20, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Clos de la Roche 2002 is an excellent effort from Hubert Lignier. Old school Lignier, quite dark aromas, but also some elements of sweet red fruit in the bouquet. No quite ready to drink, but there are some sweet mature notes on the palate, still the darker tones in the fruit are dominating the …

J.J. Prüm, Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese 2005 #21

By Steen Öhman September 18, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The 2005 Auktion Spätlese #21 from Prüm is a very fine wine indeed. For a spätlese it's very sweet, and is displaying botrytis and wonderful fine minerality in the Bouquet. On the palate it's rich, sweet and silky. Very elegant and pure botrytis notes combined with the perfectly ripe riesling fruit. …
