Philippe Pacalet

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 2009

By Steen Öhman December 31, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The 2009 Chambolle village from Pacalet is beginning to close down. The bouquet is still quite open, with red coulis fruit and a fine Chambolle minerality. The palate is now more focused and slightly tannic, just after opening the bottle. Fine minerality, good length and focus. The acidity seem more …

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru 2009

By Steen Öhman October 26, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Chambolle Musigny 1er cru is normally one of the very best Pacalet wines. This also apply for the 2009 vintage. Very nice refined minerality in the nose, with red coulis fruits - organic style. Perhaps slighly closed compared to a the first tasting in May 2011. On the palate very fine acidity …

Philippe Pacalet, Bourgogne Rouge 2010

By Steen Öhman October 15, 2011 - Leave a Comment

Bourgogne Rouge from Pacalet 2010 a pleasure ... The bouquet very open and ready to rock with red fruits - coulis style. On the palate very fine balance with fine juicy fruit and a very good acidity structure. The acidity is vibrant and fresh, and seem more refined than the slightly rough 2008. …

Philippe Pacalet, Chambolle Musigny 2009

By Steen Öhman September 22, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Chambolle village has a wonderful bouquet of red fruits organic style! On the palate quite dense, with very nice ripe red coulis fruits. Medium body, quite good length, but could do with a little more acidity. Like many other 2009 wines it's lacking some freshness, and a more vibrant minerality. …

Philippe Pacalet, Gevrey Chambertin Bel-Air 2009

By Steen Öhman August 3, 2011 - Leave a Comment

This normally one of the best wines from Pacalet. A very fine terroir expression, that suits the rather heavy 2009 style. Very nice bouquet with red fruits - nice pinot note organic style. The wine is in a very fine balance currently, where the pinot flavors blend perfectly with the nice minerality …
