The Comtesse 2008 is a beautiful quite classical Bordeaux. The bouquet is slightly closed but showing sweet aromas of red and black currants, and toasted oak – hints of cumin and mocca. On the palate medium-bodied, quite lush, but also with quite a strong grip from the tannins. The tannins are ripe, but still have adds some structure and edges to the wine – in that sense a quite old school Bordeaux. In total a very fine wine – needs a some time to mature, but will provide excellent drinking after 10 – 15 years.
