Domaine de la Cras is a new estate located just south of Dijon in the appellation Coteaux de Dijon. The estate is apparently owned by the city of Dijon, and is now under the management of Marc Soyard – who have worked at Domaine Bizot in Vosne-Romanée. The estate makes four wines – two reds and two whites – and the cuvée Cras in the glass is the top white cuvée made from the steepest part of the vineyard.
This is a vibrant white with plenty of stony minerality. The nose offer cool and energetic white and yellow fruits infused with a tremendous robust stony minerality. On the palate cool and quite elegant with a crunchy mineral note – very appealing and with a lot of character from the terroir. A very enjoyable wine and a intersting terroir .. highly recommended.
