The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2012 from Denis Bachelet is a true beauty and one of the most exiting wines I have tasted recently. The Bachelet wines are very rarely seen in Denmark — so have very little experience with this magnificent producer. The bouquet is floral and forward offering very airy red fruit notes – complex, transparent with a nice display of terroir. On the palate very juicy and energetic for the vintage offering a tremendous freshness and balance. A gorgeous wine .. loved every drop.
