The Mercurey La Framboisiére 2012 from Faiveley is a delightfully fruity glass of pinot. Not often I drink Mercurey .. a shame really .. but was tempted by this wine at a restaurant in Beaune. In the bouquet lovely red berry fruit notes of raspberries, red currant – forward, cool and airy. On the palate light to medium weight … lovely airy fruit – harmonious and very fruit driven. Not a big and complex wine .. but delightful for a light lunch.
