Domaine Hubert Chavy, Puligny Hameau de Blagny 2007

The 2007 Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny from Hubert Chavy is a lovely effort. The nose is fresh and crisp with citrus and mineral infused yellow fruit – notes of pear, apples and more exotic orchard fruits. There is a “healthy” dose of SO₂ in the nose … with a quite powerful hint of matchsticks. On the palate very fresh with a fine quite weighty fruit and a powerful deep minerality. Its a slightly rustic wine .. but is nevertheless a lovely glass from a very interesting terroir.
