To the lovely 2017 vintage – charming and generous – with a delightfully refined expression. Jean-Pierre Maldant is one of the larger estates in Ladoix-Serrigny and is producing two Cortons as the top wines. This, the Corton Les Grandes Lolières 2017, is a very lovely glass from the core of the Ladoix part of Corton. Very Juicy, vibrant and quite leightfooted for a Corton – yet both intense and delicate at the same time. Lovely pure fruit on the palate – very vivid with a lovely energy and a refined mineral notes setting the scene. A very fine Corton.
(Drink From 2027) – Very Fine (93p) – Tasted 16/05/2019.
