Domaine Maume-Siblas is an estate originating from the old Maume Domaine in Gevrey-Chambertin.
The demise of the Maume estate is quite complex, and somehow also a bit irrelevant, as it is now 15 years since the main parts of the Maume estate were sold to Marchand-Tawse.
Yes, Maume-Siblas originate from the Maume domaine, but in reality, it’s a new start for Patricia Siblas and her son, Thomas, who is also the son of Bertrand Maume.

This is to be considered a new estate with interesting historic vineyards and leverage, and competent people trying to revive the Maume legacy personified by Thomas Maume Siblas.
The core person here is Patricia Siblas, who has gathered the rest of the Maume vineyards into a small estate.
Patricia is a serious and hardworking vigneron with a considerable talent for making enjoyable but rather classic wines.
The style of the wines is rather classic, but not extracted, with modest use of new oak, giving some lovely harmonious wines. They are effortless and enjoyable.
This is not a rockstar estate … but a fine domaine to follow.
The vineyards
Patricia Siblas is now running the following plots:
- Nuits-Saint-Georges “Plantes au Baron”
- Nuits-Saint-Georges “Les Longecourts”
- Gevrey-Chambertin “En Pallud”
- Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Les Cherbaudes”
In addition, Maume-Siblas have vineyards that produce Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Nuits-Saint-Georges “Les Longecourts” 2024
Les Longecourts is a relatively unknown NSG village located just below Les Saint-Georges. It offers very pure and clean fruit. Quite intense with a very fine balance. Not a massive wine … but very well made.
