The Auslese #16 is beginning to show. Very fine matur notes in the bouquet, but not yet at the petrolium state. Quite rich on the palate and the sometimes quite brutal 1994 acidity is well integrated in the good core of sweet ripe riesling fruit. Not a sweet style Auslese, but has a very nice balance between the sweetness and the acidity. This is my kind of Auslese – refreshing.
(From 2015) Fine to Very Fine – 92p
