My first wine from Domaine Jean-Phillippe Fichet – 2009 Meursault Les Chevalieres. In the bouquet very fine minerality, with some quite rich fruit notes – melon, citrus and acacia as the dominant elements. On the palate finely focused for the vintage, with good midpalate concentration. The oak is a bit forward in the wine but not excessive. Fine balance and freshness for the vintage. A very good effort in 2009.
(Drink from 2016) Very Good – 88p
