The Kistler Vineyards Sonoma Valley 2007 was served just after Leflaive Puligny Montrachet 2006, and thus seemed quite balanced and well structured. I reality the Leflaive tasted more Californian than the Kistler. Not all the credit goes to Kistler, but it is a very good Californian chardonney. It’s quite a big wine, but compared to a good burgundy, it lacks a some finesse. (2013 – 2023) – 90p
