Mark Haisma’s winery is located in a commercial zone in Gilly-les-Citeaux, the same one that houses the prominent Maison Laurent Ponsot.
I visit Mark every year, and it is always a treat. The small 2024 vintage is where I have chosen to reduce the report a bit.
If you like Mark Heismas wines, (and you should) then, all of 2024 is good and drinkable … but remember, this is not the vintage of the century. As always, pick carefully.
These are my Heisma picks in 2024

I like the basics of Mark’s wines. Not all of them are my favourites, but the best offer a lot more genuine “Burgundy” than many of the wines produced in nearby villages.
So, let’s go to Gilly! The wines were tasted on December 2nd 2025.
The 2024 reds from Mark Haisma

Mark Haisma “A Bogan in Bogandy” 2024
The 2024 Côteaux Bourguignons has the usual Haisma touch: It’s informal. To be drunk on the terrasse … not complex!!
(Drink from 2026) – Good – (86p)
Mark Haisma Volnay La Cave 2024
The Volnay La Cave is one of my favourite wines chez Haisma (or in Volnay for that matter). It has juicy raspberries and wild strawberries on the nose, along with fine tension in its intensely vivid, juicy fruit. It reminds me of Pinot Droit, but regardless, this is truly a hedonistic treat, as I wrote last year. So delicate and effortless – but not a big and mighty wine – especially not in 2024.
(Drink from 2038) – Very Good+ (89-90p) – ![]()
Mark Haisma Gevrey-Chambertin 2024
From a mixed bag of village vineyards in Gevrey (amongst others La Justice and Billard). This is showing beautifully in 2024 – with the oumph meeded.
(Drink from 2028) – Very Good (88p) – ![]()
