Odds and ends … the 1964 Maurice Chevillion Nuits-Saint-Georges is old now … and somewhat tired. This bottle had been recorked at some point … just for the record – most likely within the last 10 years. The nose show clear signs of age .. dusty and earthy with a bit of dark fruit underneath … showing a bit of tar and orange notes after some time in the glass. On the palate rustic and quite edgy … true NSG character. Is however lacking some fruit now .. and remains quite austere and dusty even after some time in the glass … past it’s peak.
