Les Suchots 2007 from Bernstein is slightly closed at the moment. In the bouquet red and darker fruits in a rather sweet coulis style … cherries, raspberries and strawberries. Seems slightly uninvolving and pale in the fruit aromas. On the palate same story, nice fruit, good length but not much expression of the terroir. The oak is quite well integrated in the wine, but still the finish indicates somewhat excessive use of oak. A good wine, but the style seem kind of uninvolving as the fruit lacks some sparkle and personality.
