The Vieux Chateau Certan 1978 is still a fresh and vibrant wine. Starting out with pencil lead and cedar in the bouquet. After a little air deeper mature fruit notes, moss, forrest and a hint of leather. On the palate fresh and vibrant mature fruit, getting more and more dept and layers of fruit. Quite tight and youthfull with a fresh acidity – one of the best 1978s in a long time. What a wonderful mature Bordeaux!
