Let’s face it the 2024 vintage did not fall out like we hoped for!!
Words like catastrophe and disaster are being used quite frequently about a vintage that size-wise perhaps is the worst Burgundy has experienced.
Now we can hope for the wines to surprise us … to thrill us … to joy us.
The big negative
There is to my mind no doubt that the extreme problems during the 2024 vintage will mean a serious setback to organic and biodynamic viticulture.
Some will fall off the horse others will be forced to resign … many others who considered the bio way will wawer and will not during the next years dare to challenge nature.
This is all bad for wine and Burgundy!
After mildew comes more mildew
