Trumpet season has started … and yes very early this year. Saturday I forund a got amount of Black Trumpets (Craterellus fallax) – also called Black Chanterelle.
They were very fresh and fine, as the season has just started, still it took a good hour to clean them.
Normally we find these in October and November but the very humid summer has given prefect conditions for all the mushrooms in the forrest.
Some were used on toast, and others were used in a very nice pasta with just butter, a fresh tomato and a bit of parmasan cheese.
The rest af the trumpets will be dried for later use.
