The Clos de Tart 1990 is now fully mature … but still a somewhat rustic and big wine. In the bouquet fine slightly rustic red fruit with notes of raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries, tobacco and leather. It’s not 100% pure as it starts out with some rustic cheasy notes … this do however disappear after some time in the glass. On the palate very good fruit and midpalate concentration, but is still rustic and quite tannic. Is drying a little in the finish – and will most likely not improve with further cellaring. At it’s peak or slightly in decline.
