Burgundian rosé is not common on the winehog table – but I am expanding a bit on the summer rosé theme. The new Vosne estate Arnaud et Sofie – started by Arnaud Sirugue and his wife Sofie Noëllat – has made a delightful rosé, provence style. It’s a vivid and well structured wine – a passetoutgrain rosé, but only pinot grapes. It has lovely balance – a fine hint of tannins with suitable balancing sweetness. This is very well made – offering fine support for light summer food – a very enjoyable wine in my view. A winehog award is justified.
