Association Les Violettes – Supporting the Less Fortunate

We all know that Burgundy is an expensive and elusive hobby where we can spend hundreds of euros in the hunt for pleasure and optimal quality in a single bottle,

We are blessed with opportunities, while others – even in Burgundy itself – are less fortunate. Illness can strike, sorrow and despair can hit even the best families. We can all be in a situation where we need support, a helping hand, or just some kind words and advice to get us back on track.

Association Les Violettes is an organization that supports initiatives that can help and support families with children in need of help, or just a kind hand.

It combines helping children in need with the wine community, as Les Violettes is financed by donations from Burgundy’s vignerons.

The winegrowers donate bottles which are then sold at auction, with the revenue going to Les Violettes and thereby to the projects the association supports.

Wines from Jean-Yves Bizot, one of the founders of the Association Les Violettes, are auctioned, as are wines from numerous prominent vignerons – amongst others Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Domaine Trapet, Domaine Leroy, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Bonneau du Martray, Domaine Meo-Camuzet, Domaine Raquillet in Mercurey and Domaine Garcia in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
