J.-F. Coche-Dury, Meursault 2009

By Steen Öhman June 14, 2012 -

This Coche-Dury Meursault 2009 is showing much better than the bottle tasted in October 2011. In the bouquet yellow fruit, acacia, grape fruit, with elements of gun powder and popcorn. A more exotic and discrete expression than normally found in young Coche wines. On the palate quite dense and lush …

Domaine Dujac, Chambolle Musigny 2006

By Steen Öhman June 13, 2012 -

The 2006 Chambolle village from Dujac is a very good wine - but slightly more backward than a lot of other 06 village wines. In the bouquet raspberries, cherries, black cherries and Gooseberries - slightly closed. On the palate quite tight, focused, with a very good zappy acidity for a 2006. Lovely …

Domaine Dujac, Gevrey Chambertin Aux Combottes 1999

By Steen Öhman June 12, 2012 -

The Dujac Aux Combottes 1999 is surely but slowly opening up and starting to show the glory of the 1999 vintage. In the bouquet red and green strawberries, gooseberries and cherries with hints of redcurrent. On the palate quite fresh and surpriingly crisp pinot aromas. Lovely fruit, still tight but …

Domaine Prieure Roch, Vosne Romanee Hautes Maizieres 2009

By Steen Öhman June 11, 2012 -

The Vosne Romanee Les Hautes Maizieres is normally one of my favorite Roch wines ... but it's getting quite expensive. Haut Maizieres is in my view among the better village vineyards in Vosne Romanee, with a fine and quite delicate minerality. The 2009 edition of Hautes Maizieres is quite open, but …

Domaine Prieure Roch, Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Argillieres 2009

By Steen Öhman June 10, 2012 -

The Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Argillieres is a new 1er cru from Henri Roch. Les Argillieres is a very interesting terroir located between Clos Arlot and Clos de Corvees in the very south of the appelation. This vineyard has a very fine minerality - and Frederic Cossard made some very interesting wines …
