Domaine Ramonet, Chassagne Montrachet Les Ruchottes 2007

By Steen Öhman November 25, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Chassagne Les Ruchottes 2007 from Ramonet was a true pleasure. The Bouquet was quite undevelloped, with a nice fresh and crisp fruit, a hint of mint and lemon aromas. Fine minerality while the oak was quite well absorbed in the fruit. On the palate fine balance between fruit and acidity - nice …

Comte Lafon, Meursault 2002

By Steen Öhman November 23, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The village Meursault from Lafon 02 was a quite nice wine. In the bouquet some apple, minerality and lemon peel. Quite matured in the nose. Perhaps a hint of oxidation just after opening the bottle, but given some time the oxidative notes were almost resolved. On the palate quite focused with good …

Sylvain Cathiard, Vosne Romanee Les Malconsorts 1995

By Steen Öhman November 22, 2011 - Leave a Comment

Les Malconsort is one of the top 1er cru's in Vosne Romanee, and can yield some really wonderful wines. The 1995 from Sylvain Cathiard is sadly not one of them! After 16 years it's still rustic, tannic and austere. The 1995 acidity can be interesting, but in this case the lack of fruit, body and …

Domaine Meo-Camuzet, Vosne Romanee 2007

By Steen Öhman November 22, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Vosne Romanee village wine is one of my favorite wines from Meo-Camuzet. It's quite far from his best wine ... but it's not trying too hard either!! Just a very good village wine. The 2007 was surprisingly accessible, in the nose raspberries, minerality and a slight hint of gun powder. On the …

Comte de Vogue, Chambolle Musigny 2002

By Steen Öhman November 21, 2011 - Leave a Comment

Vogue made wonderfull wines in 2002, and the Chambolle village is no exception. I have not tasted this wine in seven years, so about time to open a bottle. Slightly closed in the bouquet with beginning sweet notes. Still red coulis fruit as it had in 2004 when it was released - raspberries with very …
