The 1986 Suduiraut has a quite undeveloped color compared to the 1989 and 1990 from the same producer. The bouquet is however quite devleoped with marzipan and acetone notes. On the palate quite moderate sweetness a good acidity and focus. Slightly high on the alcohol, but still fresh with good concentration. Not heavy on the botrytis and caramel aromas, but more dried fruit flavors. Not a very sweet sauternes, and should be paired with food accordingly. From half bottle it’s fully mature, and was most certainly better 5 years ago.
