Domaine Dujac, Gevrey Chambertin Aux Combottes 2009

The Gevrey Chambertin Aux Combottes 2009 from Dujac is showing quite well at the moment. On the nose fine and juicy red and dark fruits – strawberries with notes of raspberries and cherries + a twist of liquorice. On the palate quite cool fruit, red notes and good composure. Quite a oaky note in the finish … tannins, vanilla and even a slight hint of butterscotch. In total good balance and quite a cool fruit for a 2009. Based on other quite hot years this wine would need 20 years to unfold the full potential. A fine effort from Dujac.
