Domaine Heitz-Lochardet, Pommard Rugiens 2014

Third time I taste the Pommard Rugiens 2014 from Heitz-Lochardet… a magnificent glass. The nose is floral and very expressive (100% whole cluster) with a lovely playful red and dark fruit, spiced with hints of cinnamon and peony rose. On the palate vibrant depth and energy in the juicy almost silky mid-palate fruit – very elegant and forward for a young Pommard Rugiens. Really adore this wine … it’s drinking beautifully – lovely complexity .. will be exited to follow this over the next decade.
