The 2015 Chassagne Les Caillerets from Domaine Lamy Caillat is a mixed bag … but showing fine elements when served chilled. The nose offer fine minerality – hint of fennel – oak, citrus and some exotic orchard fruits. On the palate rich but balanced – with the oak working well to support the ample fruit. The oak is balanced – until the temperature increases – then perhaps too dominant. Still a good effort to get a focused 2015 … would however like to try the 2014!
