The Comtes de Champagne 1999 is rather closed at the moment. In the bouquet citrus gooseberries, yellow chardonnay fruit, and a quite dominant acidity. On the palate quite high acidity, good length, but the fruit is somewhat restrained. Starting out with some metallic notes in the finish, but after some time the fruit is more present on the palate. Fine but need time to mature and bring forward the qualities normally found in Comte de Champagne.
