I’m attending the Hospices de Beaune auction this year and will be posting about the event on the blog and on the winehog facebook page.
The tasting of the wines is on Saturday November 14th, and the auction is held on Sunday November 15th.
The 2015 wines are already hyped so I expect record prices at the auction this year … and high demand – so stay tuned.
The Hospices de Beaune wines
The auction include 48 wines – 33 reds and 15 whites all from vineyards donated to Hospices de Beaune by generous Burgundians over the years.
In total 575 barrels of Burgundian juice from the already highly acclaimed 2015 vintage.
The auction list can be found here and detailed info of all the cuvees can be found on the Hospices de Beaune website – read more here.

Tasting notes …
I will have the opportunity to taste the auction wines Saturday afternoon, and will post some initial impressions.
In my view it’s however far too early to contemplate a firm opinion about the vintage and the individual wines – so no points or scores .. just my initial impressions.
As an appetizer you can read the 2015 notes from Christies Anthony Hanson.
