This was my second visit to the new Pierre Vincent estate in Auxey Duresses – expectations were very high especially for the whites.
Pierre Vincent is a very talented winemaker who has experience from, but not limited to, Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine Leflaive.

When the lovely estate Terres went up for sale, along with investors, Pierre Vincent acquired this lovely estate located at the Meursault-end of Auxey Duresses.
The estate has lovely vineyards. Some came from the acquisition of Domaine Dublère in 2016, and others date back longer. In general, the vineyards are old … most beyond 60 years … so, a very good foundation for making great wine.
Pierre Vincent had the responsibility of making Domaine Leflaive from 2017 to 2024. In July 2023, the investors in the Solexia Group took possession of the Domaine des Terres de Velle in Auxey-Duresses. With this group, we have Pierre Vincent, who stayed on at Domaine Leflaive until the end of 2024.
Pierre Vincent of Domaine Pierre Vincent
I mainly know Pierre Vincent from Domaine Leflaive, and as a white wine producer, which he still is, even though he produces some delightful reds at his new estate. The reds are elegant and almost silky, with a nice light extraction and use of oak.
Some of the whites are from bigger terroirs, and from these, Pierre Vincent produces some quite phenomenal wines … style-wise refined and elegant with a lovely purity and acidity, all from old vines.
The whites are definitely top end … a new star is born.
Last year I wrote … the whites are definitely top end … a new star is born … and with the 2024 vintage in the glass … this most certainly is confirmed.

To the notes from my tasting on February 10th 2026.
The reds are good for the vintage … little new oak and a light extraction. Made to be 2024 and not something more powerful – I like this.
Domaine Pierre Vincent Bourgogne 2024
The Bourgogne rouge is made with 20% new oak and 70% whole cluster. It’s one for the light side … especially the midpalate is lacking a bit of concentration. Flavours are fine and delicate.
(Drink From 2026) – Good – (86p)
Domaine Pierre Vincent Auxey-Duresses Les Closeaux 2024
The Auxey Duresses is 100% whole cluster and light-footed. Elegant summer wine with an airy and open character … not the most potent Auxey.
(Drink From 2029) – Very Good – (88p)
Domaine Pierre Vincent Monthélie Les Duresses 2024
The Monthélie les Duresses is 100% whole cluster … elegant with more midplate concentration than the Auxey … has a lovely and quite intense character for a 2024.
(Drink From 2029) – Very Good – (88p) – ![]()
Domaine Pierre Vincent Volnay Ez Blances 2024
The Volnay is showing a nice limestone minerality and a fine salinity. It’s delicate and with a good concentration for the vintage.
(Drink From 2031) – Very Good – (89p) – ![]()
Domaine Pierre Vincent Volnay Le Ronceret 2024
Is good and concentrated, but it is, to be honest, lacking some true oompf and concentration. I somehow prefer the Ez.
(Drink From 2033) – Very Good – (89p)
The whites
Domaine Pierre Vincent Aligoté 2024
The Aligoté is from Cordon pruned vines. 10% new oak and 30% Claiver. Lovely fresh and pure notes … precise and not very Aligoté-like (not very spicy) … with pure flavours – definitely oysters this vintage.
(Drink From 2026) – Very Good – (89-90p) – ![]()
Domaine Pierre Vincent Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay 2024
A lovely Bourgogne Blanc … 10% oak and a lovely. Very pure 2024 fruit – intense and delightful. Very nice phenolics … a very enjoyable wine.
(Drink From 2026) – Very Good – (87-88p) – ![]()
Domaine Pierre Vincent Auxey-Duresses Les Hautés 2024
Lovely, vivid fruit … intense and slightly dark. Borderline on the ripe side, it seems … but the charm of this terroir is delightful. I do like Auxey!
(Drink From 2029) – Very Good – (88-89p) – ![]()
Domaine Pierre Vincent Savigny Aux Vergelesses 2024
The Savigny Vergelesses is a classic with a clear saline mineral note and a delicate reductive style. This is really a strong and prominent terroir … wow, can see this wine in many interesting food combinations … cod lightly heated and with rich saffron sauce … it’s been 25 years since I made this dish!
(Drink From 2032) – Very Good – (91p) – ![]()
Domaine Pierre Vincent Chassagne-Montrachet Platière 2024
The Chassagne Platière is located under Boudriotte … a nice place in 2024. Cool, vivid for the terroir … but the Puligny is really doing some slapping here. Go Puligny!
(Drink From 2030) – Very Good – (90p) – ![]()
