Vincent Wine Company is a small winery located in the Eola Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. They make Pinot Noirs, Chardonnay and Gamay – and have provided the Winehog with some samples this summer.
Vincent Wine Company Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills, Bjornson Vineyard 2016 is one of the single vineyard wines from Vincent. It’s relatively lightly colered, light on the palate – rather elegant, fruty and attractive. The expression is not Burgundian as such, but the style is vivid with a good energy – cherries and strawberries. Drinking well with it’s fine balance and it’s quite light-footed expression – a positive surprise.
I may be harder than others while rating the wines – but the rating below does actually indicate that I enjoyed this wine.
(Drink From 2024) – Good+ (86 – 88p) – Tasted 30/05/2019.
