The Wine hog (Sus Scrofa Burgundia) is a close relative to the Truffle pig (Sus Scrofa Domestica).
Where the truffle pig is specialized in finding truffles, the Wine hog is trained and specialized in finding great wines in the best terroirs. The Wine Hog is mostly seen in the French appellations Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne, but has also been seen as far north as in the Mosel Valley.
The Wine Hog can be found only on the best terroirs, and only thrives from elegant wines with low alcohol and good minerality.
