New times at Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg, with Marion Nauleau-Mugneret running the tasting of the 2020s. Marion is the daughter of Marie-Andrée Nauleau-Mugneret, one of the two Mugneret-Gibourg sisters.
This was the first time I had met Marion, although we had been in contact electronically regarding articles and tastings. It was a pleasure to meet a new member of the family.

And so, to the notes!
The 2020s at Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg
The wines were tasted on January 17 as cask samples.
Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg Bourgogne 2020
The Bourgogne rouge offers generous intensity and weight. It feels cooler and more energetic than the 2019, which was quite warm with the alcohol on the high side. This is more balanced. What a delightful wine!
(Drink from 2026) – Very Good – (87p) – Tasted from cask 17/01/2022
Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée 2020
The Vosne Village is vivid and cool, classic and pretty, with fine acidity and balance. To say that it’s better than the 2019 is perhaps stretching it, but they are certainly on equal terms. This has lovely hedonistic energy, with Vosne spices showing their beauty.
(Drink from 2033) – Fine – (90-91p) – Tasted from cask 17/01/2022 –
