What wines do I like? What’s it like to be a reviewer in Burgundy?
Here are two videos made by Taiwanese friends that address these points, and others.
The videos were created by La Maison du Terroir, a large Taiwanese wine importer. Raphael Hsu is the owner, and is very passionate about wine and terroir. The project was orchestrated by my good friend Karine Chang, a Beaune wine agent and entrepreneur.

Nice video and I appreciate your honesty. I also agree with your comment about being respectful of the winemakers. It is their livelihood and I often think how damaging a negative or lukewarm review/score from a critic could be. After all, this is just one’s person’s view and the wines are often being tasted many years in advance of when they are likely to be at the best. I think that it’s better not to post the review, leaving people to reach their own conclusions, whilst focusing upon the wines that you have enjoyed.
