The Roses de Jeanne Les Ursules – Blanc de Noirs (2006) – from Cedric Bouchard is a quite disappointing Champagne. In the bouquet quite discrete notes of ripe pear, yeast, toast and apple – somewhat introvert. On the palate fine and delicate mousse, light-bodied with lack of midpalate power. The fruit is somewhat one dimensional and sweet, lacking nerve and expression. Sadly not a Champagne I can recommend in any way.
